Sono lenta, ho ritmi più primaverile che autunnali, per la verità stare troppo seduta davanti al computer non mi fa tanto bene, meglio fare un po' di moto nel tempo libero... Però questo blog piange un po' perchè si sente trascurato, non si può ignorare un blog che piange (avrei voluto scrivere frigna, che forse era un termine più veritiero!). Vediamo se riesco, in poco tempo, a pubblicare qualcosa con un senso...

 Ieri c'è stato pochissimo sole, laggiù in alto tra le nuvole, oggi grigio e pioggia, per fortuna abbiamo avuto un bellissimo finesettimana (di cui poi vi racconterò) , grazie al bel tempo domenica mattina abbiamo fatto una passeggiata tra i campi (avete presente quelle camminate domenicali in cui già si pregusta il pranzo della mamma e in cui si esce senza neanche pettinare i propri capelli?!) . Durante questa bella mattina abbiamo trovato un albero di mele cotogne, ne abbiamo prese un po' e ieri sera ho fatto questi dolcetti: mele cotogne, cannella e noce moscata... Profumati e sani (senza olio di palma, nè derivati del latte, invece le uova le ho usate perchè sono di galline che razzolano libere!)

During this beautiful morning we found a quince tree, we have taken a bit 'and last night I made these cakes: quince, cinnamon and nutmeg ... Fragrant and healthy (no palm oil, or milk derivatives, instead the eggs I used them because they are from hens that roam free!)

 Invece, passando al mio lato egocentrico, questo è il mio abbigliamento per andare ad un'altro concerto per la raccolta fondi destinate alle zone terremotat. Speriamo che questi fondi vadano direttamente ai comuni delle zone interessate (basta cercare i dati - iban e che altro..- sui siti ufficiali dei comuni) e non a Croce Rossa o Protezione Civile, di cui mi fido sempre meno...

Maremma! parte 1

Eccomi di nuovo, dopo un periodo di pausa dovuto a qualche piccolo viaggio (non vi sarà difficile immaginare niente di esotico o particolarmente patinato, non fanno per me certe destinazioni!), alla mancanza di voglia che può essere anche mancanza di tempo (e viceversa) e a una tristezza fisica e mentale dovuta al nuovo terremoto che ha colpito di nuovo l'Italia. Ci sarà l'occasione poi di parlare meglio di questo, intanto qualcosa di bello... Un paio di giorni in Maremma(anzi tre, considerando che tutta la Toscana occidentale e costiera alla fine è maremma, abbiamo vissuto il viaggio di ritorno come un viaggio nel tempo, grazie alla vecchia Aurelia e a strade secondarie che ci hanno accompagnato fino alla campagna pisana abbiamo compiuto un vero viaggio nei luoghi e non in spazi inventati e artificiali, come succede prendendo autostrade o super strade..), tra mare e campagna, insomma  noi in vacanza, il DNA a casa!

La nostra base era una fattoria vicino a Alberese, nel cuore del Parco della Maremma, una sistemazione spartana ma molto comoda immersa nella campagna sterminata. Il centro di Alberese è anche il punto di partenza per escursioni guidate nel parco ma, visto la durata delle escursioni e le temperature altissime, noi questa volta abbiamo declinato (ci siamo stati a maggio qualche anno fa ed è sicuramente quello il periodo giusto, anche perchè si può visitare il parco e la spiaggia anche senza guida). Il piccolo centro abitato,   dominato dalla Villa Granducale, è stato disegnato negli anni'30 del '900 come centro di formazione di concezione fascista, fu realizzato grazie all'Opera Nazionale Combattenti (ma ci tengo a dire che fascismo e Combattenti non sono la stessa cosa) e le terre vennero assegnate a contadini del nord Italia, prevalentemente veneti (uno dei motivi, per non dire ingiustizie,  per cui la Toscana è così affine alla Corsica). 

Noi abbiamo pranzano da Pavin (cognome di chiara origine veneta) e abbiamo mangiato benissimo, i prodotti locali e non tanto per dire, il sapore lo diceva chiaramente. Buono tutto, compreso l'olio extravergine d'oliva e la birra (prodotta all'interno del Parco), ma i tortelli maremmani, conditi semplicemente con pomodoro fresco e basilico erano strepitosi, uno di quei piatti indimenticabili a cui il palato si affeziona subito! Quando gli ingredienti sono buoni e sani la semplicità vince sempre!

Our base was a farm near Alberese, in the heart of the Maremma Natural Park, a Spartan accommodation but very comfortable immersed in the vast countryside. The center of Grosseto is also the starting point for guided tours in the park, but since the duration of the excursions and the very high temperatures, we this time we declined (we were there in May a few years ago and it's definitely what the right time, even because you can visit the park and the beach without a guide). The small town, dominated by the Villa Granducale, was designed in the 30s of the '900 as a center of the Fascist conception of education, was made possible by the Opera National Fighters (but I want to say that fascism and fighters are not the same thing) and the lands were assigned to the peasants of northern Italy, mainly Venetian (one of the reasons, not to say injustice, for which Tuscany is so akin to Corsica).

We have lunch from Pavin (surname of clear Venetian origin), and we ate very well, the local products and not so much to say, taste it clearly said. Good everything, including extra virgin olive oil and beer (produced in the Park), but the Maremma tortelli, simply seasoned with fresh tomato and basil briliant, one of those unforgettable dishes that the palate becomes attached immediately ! When the ingredients are good and healthy simplicity always wins!

Nel tardo pomeriggio siamo riusciti ad accedere a Marina di Alberese, non è stato semplice e tutto sommato la spiaggia è un po' deludente (molto meglio la nostra Marina di Vecchiano), ci siamo comunque divertiti grazie a vari "casi umani" presenti sull'arenile, tra cui spiccava un "pescatore mal fidato" a cui ho anche dedicato un cortometraggio (purtroppo era troppo tardi per presentarlo a Venezia 73!!!). Comunque il lungo viale che porta fino al mare è bellissimo, si attraversano campi e allevamenti: di cavalli e di bufale (e qui lo dico finalmente e fieramente che, pur essendo intollerante ai latticini, quando mangio la mozzarella di bufala maremmana io non ho nessun problema!), fattorie e pinete... Insomma ne vale la pena!

In the late afternoon we were able to access the Marina di Alberese, was not easy and all in all the beach is a bit 'disappointing (much better than our Marina di Vecchiano), we still had fun thanks to various "human cases" present on' beach, among which stood out a "fisherman poorly trusted" to which I dedicated a short film (unfortunately it was too late to introduce him to Venice 73 !!!). However the long driveway that leads to the sea is beautiful, crossing fields and farms: horses and buffaloes (and here we finally and proudly say that despite being intolerant to dairy, when I eat buffalo mozzarella Maremma I do not have any problem!), farms and pine forests ... So it's worth it!

Dopo essere stata distrutta dal mare al tramonto (ricordatevi che sono pur sempre una vampira) e un sapiente (per modo di dire!) restauro ci dirigiamo in direzione Grosseto. Per cena e giro nel bellissimo centro storico. Ci siamo mangiati anche un buon gelato (per me senza lattosio, ovviamente!!!), seguiteci!

Grosseto è il comune toscano più a sud e il terzo comune più grande del Centro Italia. Il suo centro storico c'è piaciuto davvero tanto! Molto suggestive le varie architetture presenti.
