le cirque de la mode

Le mode non sono casuali, le impongono di solito quelli che sulle mode ci campano: i sarti, parrucchieri, venditori di effimero, fotografi.

Quest'anno i fotografi hanno cambiato le gambe delle modelle: da tonde, polpose e diritte che erano le impongono magre e arcuate, tutte quelle che appaiono sugli schermi e sui giornali devono tenerle un po' storte.

Le taglie grandi sono bandite, anche se la maggior parte delle persone è grassa e cicciona, nei negozi di abbigliamento non si trovano più magliette e camicie di taglia grande, bisogna farsele fare su misura.

E questo spiega in parte la moda: bisogna trovare la maniera di aumentare i consumi, e di vincere la noia del già visto, del già pensato, e così succede che le persone più sottomesse alla legge del gregge passino per le più eleganti. Sono le più obbedienti ai voleri delle masse e passano per snob.
