Toiano, un paese fantasma dalle molteplici anime..

Sarebbe un paese come tanti, senza particolare fascino, pur essendo stato un castello medioevale (ne resta ben visibile una parte della porta principale, a cui si accedeva da un ponte, forse levatoio), della provincia di Pisa, se non si trovasse immerso in uno dei paesaggi più belli della Toscana Maggiore: tra le colline pisane e le balze di Volterra. Nacque lucchese, ma poi fu pisano, fiorentino e di nuovo pisano, i fiorentini vincitori lo distrussero, e gli abitanti lo ricostruirono..

Oggi il paese di Toiano è paese fantasma, colonia felina, attrazione turistica (ma non aspettatevi molto dal punto di vista architettonico), e testimone di uno dei più cruenti delitti del secondo dopoguerra italiano: l'omicidio di Elvira Orlandini, caso noto come l'omicidio del Corpus Domini. Il suo cadavere fu trovato nei pressi del Botro della Lupa, lungo la strada per Toiano, vicino al Bosco delle Purghe dove fu uccisa mentre prendeva l'acqua; il caso è ancora irrisolto..

Her body was found near the Botro della Lupa, along the road to Toiano, near the Bosco delle Purghe where she was killed while taking water; the case is still unsolved ..

Ovviamente, come accade spesso negli ultimi anni, il paese di Toiano è molto visitato da curiosi in cerca di emozioni a poco prezzo, tra questi purtroppo ci sono molti egocentrici, ma immagino anche vandali e ladruncoli. In generale anche le persone oneste sembra che abbiano perso i principi base dell'educazione, o forse non gli hanno mai avuti. Per questo sono parzialmente d'accordo con chi critica questi "egocentrici" malati di adrenalina, ma... anche chi lascia le decorazioni natalizie e poi, dopo mesi, non ritorna a toglierle, è un portatore di degrado. Queste palline, i nastri luccicanti, diventeranno spazzatura, e alcune se si rompono possono anche fare male ai gatti, che qui sono gli unici autorizzati ad entrare nelle case.

Obviously, as often happens in recent years, the village of Toiano is very visited by curious people looking for cheap emotions, among these unfortunately there are many self-centered ones, but I also imagine vandals and thieves. In general, even honest people seem to have lost the basic principles of education, or perhaps never have. For this reason, I partially agree with those who criticize these "self-centered" patients with adrenaline, but ... even those who leave the Christmas decorations and then, after months, do not return to remove them, are a bearer of degradation. These balls, the shiny ribbons, will become rubbish, and some if they break can also hurt cats, who are the only ones allowed to enter homes here.

Il mese di Maggio è finito esattamente là dove era iniziato: nella campagna pisana, più precisamente a Lari. Questa volta il rosso delle bandiere ha ceduto il passo al rosso delle ciliege. Lari è la città delle ciliege e, ogni anno, qui si svolge la festa dedicata a questo frutto così femminile e ghiotto. I più anziani dicono che il sapore della più buona delle ciliege di oggi non ha nulla a che vedere con quelle dei loro tempi, che avevano un gusto e un profumo davvero ottimo. Si potrebbe dire molto a proposito di tutto quello che è cambiato e sta cambiando nella nostra società, ma basta dire che la distruzione della società contadina (di cui tutti, più o meno, siamo nipoti o figli) porta ancora molti disagi e un senso di smarrimento, più o meno profondo, su cui da un po' sto riflettendo (e poi ti accorgi che non sei l'unica... )

You could tell a lot about all that has changed and is changing in our society, but suffice to say that the destruction of peasant society (of which everyone, more or less, we are grandchildren or children)  brings many inconveniences and a sense of loss, more or less deep, which for a while 'I'm thinking (and then you realize that you're not the only one ...)

Uno dei motivi per cui non vedevo l'ora di tornare a Lari (la mattina c'era il diluvio universale, quindi tutto era molto incerto) era fotografare questo ponte, nei dintorni di "Non vi dico dove" , io sono una nota stalinista quindi ogni volta che passo di qui... mi esalto pacificamente e mi vengono gli occhi a forma di cuore, poi sono molto ghiotta di ciliege (anche Marco non scherza!) ma, tralasciando i deliri rossi e la gola, il motivo principe del nostro tardo pomeriggio nei pressi di Lari era la festa vintage organizzata dalla scuola di ballo The Geckos, e soprattutto dalla nostra mitica insegnante Karin, una vera party girl! Così pronti a scendere in pista tra figure e figuracce (noi due soprattutto quelle, ma l'importante è riderci su!)

E' incredibile! Siamo ufficilamente un'attrazione della 60esima Festa delle Ciliege di Lari, e l'ultimo finesettimana di Maggio è stato dedicato al Vintage: moda, musica, ballo..

Un'altro motivo per cui si passeggia volentieri per le strade e le scale  intorno al castello di Lari sono gli incontri felini... Guardate questo piccolo tigrotto che sogna sul volo delle rondini... E poi un fiero gatto rosso che mi ha ricordato qualcuno ma... non era lui, ma un parente! Comunque questo bel gattone ci ha fatto compagnia per tutta la festa!

c'è sempre qualche bambino viziato che disturba i gatti, e qualche mamma troppo tirchia di ceffoni.. Qui sotto..un nuovo amico, che ci ricorda Pasquino, a proposito... DOVE SEI PASQUINO?!

Ma voi vi ricordate di Pasquino? Il gatto rosso del circolo Arci di Lari?! L'abbiamo incontrato un anno fa, QUI! E l'abbiamo ritrovato per l'aperitivo al circolo (il mitico Circolino di Lari). Il piccolo Pasquino stava riposando sul suo sgabello, non è in forma perfetta purtroppo, ma spero che si riprenda, intanto è ancora simpatico e socevole come sempre!

In giro per la Lari, facciamo scorta di ciliege e ne assaggiamo diverdsi tipi, beviamo cherry, un video ripercorre i 60 anni della storia di questa festa e sul palco un esempio delle cose fatte all'italiana, in cui non possono mai mancare il sindaco, il prete e il maresciallo dei carabinieri (a proposito di carabinieri e vintage, io trovo che la vecchia divisa estiva dell'Arma fosse proprio bella e mi ricorda uno dei miei film preferiti "Pane, amore e fantasia" con la bellissima Gina Lollobrigida).
