a very special dinner

 Per il nostro anniversario (quel lontano 21 marzo 2004 che cadeva di sabato e quindi di goth party..) Marco ha avuto un idea (per me) folle, una cena nel miglior ristorante di Montecatini Terme, per me che sono da pizza al taglio (e dopo un finesettimana in cui abbiamo viziato i nostri palati in tutti i modi possibili) è stato un bel salto in un'altra dimensione!

For our anniversary (that distant March 21, 2004 which fell on Saturday and then the goth party ..) Mark had an idea (for me) crazy, a dinner in the best restaurant in Montecatini Terme, for me being from pizza slices (and after a weekend in which we have spoiled our palates in all possible ways) was a leap into another dimension!

Questo ristorante si trova all'interno dell'Hotel Ercolini Savi, un posto davvero suggestivo e d'altri tempi ;  i piatti del ristorante invece incontrano il gusto più   contemporaneo, cucina italiana, mediterranea, europea. Servizio curatissimo, porzioni abbondanti.. Consigliato!

This restaurant is located inside the Hotel Ercolini Savi, a really impressive place, and of the past; the dishes of the restaurant instead meet the contemporary taste, Italian, Mediterranean, European. extremely attentive service, generous portions .. Recommended!

Ovviamente ho passato il tardo pomeriggio di ieri sommersa da vestiti, idee e cambi di idee. Alla fine sono andata sul classico.. Un abito nero a balze, portato come scamiciato (lo sapete già che sono freddolosa e quando c'è da mangiare sono sempre a rischio congestione?!), la maglietta a righe l'avete già vista (anche il vestito ha fatto varie comparsate nel mio blog, oltre che nella mia vita), niente di nuovo neanche per il resto... collant, borsa, stivali.. Tutto ben collaudato! Lo stile vagamente charleston! Così, sotto il segno di questa vintage dance sono nate queste foto.. Buone sghignazzate!

Of course I spent the late afternoon yesterday flooded with clothes, ideas and exchange of ideas. Eventually I went on the classic .. A black dress with flounces, worn as a scamiciato (you already know that there are chilly and when to eat are always at risk congestion ?!), the T-shirt   lines have already seen ( also the dress has made several appearances in my blog, as well as in my life), nothing new even for the rest ... panty hose, bag, boots .. All well-proven! The style vaguely charleston! Thus, under the sign of this vintage dance were born these photos .. Good giggles!

 Questo finesettimana è stato motlo mangereccio. La scusa di vedere vecchi amici, una cena di beneficienza, la fame dopo uno stage di Lindy Hop e poi l'anniversario.. Insomma, l'importante è mangiare!
In ordine, siamo stati.. venerdì cena tipica toscana al Casorino. sabato cena di beneficienza in un luogo molto paesano, dove ha trionfato la pizza. Domenica dopo il lindy hop presso l'Antico Caffé delle Mura, cenetta in un ristorante bavarese... Fame e noia alla larga! E ora DEVO ASSOLUTAMENTE DIMAGRIRE e rimettermi in forma!

 This weekend was very Edible Edible. The excuse to see old friends, a charity dinner, hunger after a stage of Lindy Hop and then the anniversary .. In short, the important thing is to eat!
In order, we were .. Friday Tuscan dinner at Casorino. Saturday charity dinner in a very rural location, where he triumphed pizza. Sunday after lindy hop at the Antico Caffé delle Mura, dinner in a Bavarian restaurant ... Hunger and boredom away! And now I HAVE ABSOLUTELY LOSE WEIGHT and get in shape!

CHANEL #3 (I love her)

Eccomi qui, in questo pomeriggio travestito da notte, mentre il Solstizio d'Inverno si avvicina, in compagnia di due delle migliori amiche: bombola dell'acqua calda e tisana rilassante (c'è anche un gatto nero, qualcuno sa dirmi chi è?!)..

Here I am, in this afternoon disguised as night, as the winter solstice approaches, in the company of two of the best friends, the hot water tank and relaxing herbal tea (there is also a black cat, someone can tell me who is? !) .

Ultimamente siamo diventati dipendenti da una serie TV, "ScreamQueens". Doveva essere un ripiego, nell'attesa dei nuovi (e ultimi) episodi di AMERICANHORRORSTORY-HOTEL (tra l'altro superlativo e assolutamente il più glamour e stilisticamente perfetto della serie AHS) e invece.. nuova dipendenza! Evviva! 

Il mio personaggio preferito (ma non solo il mio!) è assolutamente CHANEL #3, ossia Sadie Swenson (figlia naturale- nella finzione - di Charles Manson e figlia reale - nella vita reale! - di Carrie Fisher). La più stilosa, la più severa, uno sguardo che non si dimentica, una collezione di paraorecchie invidiabile e una voce che la rende così adorabilmente sovietica...

Lately we have become addicted to a TV series, "Scream Queens". It had to be a stopgap, while waiting for the new (and last) episode of AMERICANHORRORSTORY-HOTELS (among other superb and absolutely the most glamorous and stylistically perfect series AHS) and instead .. new addiction! Hooray!

My favorite character (but not only mine!) Is absolutely CHANEL # 3, that Sadie Swenson (daughter natural- in fiction - Charles Manson and daughter real - in real life! - Carrie Fisher). The most stylish, the most severe, a look you will not forget, an enviable collection of earmuffs and a voice that makes it so adorably Soviet ...

Se nella colonna sonora mi mettono Siouxsie, Cure, Joy Division, Chelsea Wolfe, Eagles e anche qualche  hit da festina non posso che gongolare di gotica gioia!

Per consolarci, di questi non bellissimi giorni, ci siamo concessi il lusso di iniziare a vedere, rigorosamente in streaming e in lingua originale (coi sottotitoli, si!), "AmericanHorrorStory-HOTEL".

La sorpresa è stata Lady Gaga, vampira diva (o diva vampira!?) eccezionale, perfetta.

Eppure  (ma probabilmente è proprio per questo) Lady Gaga come personaggio mi è sempre sfuggita,

conosco un suo unico pezzo (Applause), non ho mai capito se è bella o brutta, ma è proprio questo che la rende sopra le righe e perfetta per il ruolo che le è stato dato (o che si è presa, per nostra fortuna). Con tutto il rispetto, non ci fa rimpiangere Jessica Lange, e questo penso sia il complimentone finale, cara Lady Gaga te lo sei meritato!

To console, to these sad and nervous days, we had the luxury to start viewing, streaming and strictly in the original language (with subtitles, you!), "AmericanHorrorStory-HOTEL".
The surprise was Lady Gaga, vampire diva outstanding, perfect.
And yet (but it's probably because of it) Lady Gaga as a character I always missed,
I know its only a piece (Applause) I never understood whether it is good or bad, but that's what makes it over the top and perfect for the role that was given (or that is taken, for our luck) , able to verge on perfection and a second later a monstrous and thirsty blood drinker. With all due respect, it does not make us regret Jessica Lange, and I think this is the greatest compliment final, dear Lady Gaga you deserve it!
